Found this museum by accident, it was absalutly excellent. It is run by a detachment of Greek soldiers who are extremely passionate about the building as it is the very building the Greek General accepted the surrender of the Turkish forces. Captain katarina commands the detachment and Pte Philip escorted us around and explained everything in English. You get a real feel of the building, the surrender and how it's occupants lived. I can not recommend this museum enough, its steeped in history and the facts are fascinating and as a bonus it houses a second world war german field hospital and all the equipment. Very interesting. To Captain Katerina and Private Philip our thanks for a superb visit

Türkiye'yi ilgilendiren önemli kısımlar var. Özellikle Selanik'in Yunanistan'ın eline geçmesi ve Selanik'i teslim edişinin akabinde bölgenin Osmanlı paşasının yaşadığı akıbet hakkında bilgiler mevcut.

So! I’m in a position to contradict this museum on one desperately important non-Balkan Wars related issue of personal significance to me and my family as we sit outside the Museum. It’s a Sunday, and I was the first to be suspicious that it might not be open, but the website and its Google Maps presence declared vey boldly that it was open and moreover, would close at 2pm. So, I assume that Greece hasn’t declared martial law, or had a attempted coup d’etat, and given that military success is founded on planning, accuracy, discipline, attention to detail etc etc, I’m now worried that it’s time for a review of the Greek Armed Forces. Maybe I’ve just stumbled upon a Sunday 7th December, 1941 (Pearl Harbour) moment, so I’m going to drive as fast as I can away from here, and watch the skies to see if I can spot the...

This place is worth visiting more because the house and and its history than the actual Balcan war exhibitions. The house and its surroundings are fantastic and a good sample of how reach people were leaving during the 19th and 20th century. The tour inside the house is being conducted by the Greek army soldiers who are really accommodating. As a museum it is simply good but it could be much better by entangling technology more. You can see uniforms and armery from all military parties and feel part of the confrontations. Maps are quite extensive and show the fierce of the battles. Those who are interested about history should visit it...
