An island that felt like time had stopped, at least when I was there in 2007, beautiful dunes and sandy beaches, often only accessible by walking along the shore knees deep in the sea. Glorious. Best visited earlier in the summer as it does take a beating from plenty of students who spend the holidays there and unfortunately like students and the young everywhere, far to many forget to clean up after themselves, leaving quite a sight later once most have gone back at the end of their summer break.
