This is my third time visiting Limni, Evia and finally I have managed to tricked my local friend to pay a visit to Waterfall of Drimona. Since the area received lots of snow this winter, the waterfall had enough water. The drive was 45 minutes from Limni. We have entered the area from the first gate. We first walked to the waterfall from the first entrance and then walked to the other entrance (exit/entrance). We were surprised to see a little coffee shop down there. The cappucino freddo was not perfect but OK!

After the fall we decide to take the 3.5 km hike, which starts right by the main road. Be aware that this is not an easy hike and the guy who runs the coffee shop can provide you more information about the trail. You need to schedule extra hours...

A beautiful waterfall hidden in beautiful nature. It was awesome that it had water in August despite the hot weather. We drove there for about 35 minutes from Edipsos. The road is good and asphalted, though the last 10 kilometers it was a bit narrow. There were some sharp turns, but nothing drastic and we saw people arriving with small motorcycles. You park the car and then there's a short walk down a nice path for no more than 5 minutes to get to the waterfall. My tip is to get non-slippery shows because the stones on the path were a bit slippery. We went from there to Rovies and that part of the road was worse with many sharp turns and some damaged parts, so I would suggest to use the other way if you can. Definitely...

Natural beauty at it's finest form. Unfortunately, the place around the waterfalls have been completely burnt due to the 2021 summer wildfires of North Evoia, so, despite the fact that the Greek Forest Agency had set up kindergarten, stone paths and many more, the whole place does not remind you anything from its former glory. Even in such a pity condition, the waterfalls as well as a small lake in front of them and a second larger one, a few meters below, are worthy visiting and spend some time,...

I visited this place with my family and found the access quite easy. However, caution is needed as the pedestrian path has slippery rocks. When I visited in August, the waterfall had little water, but I believe it must be much more impressive during autumn. The whole area is still in the process of recovering from the devastating fire of August 2021. Four years later, the mountainsides are slowly turning green again. Yet, the charred tree trunks remain, standing like solemn monuments to the forest’s once-glorious past.

This is a good place to visit. It is a short walk along a well made path from the parking area down to the falls. There is a pool of water at the base of the falls that contains refreshingly cool water which is good to swim in. When I visited it was a warm August day with lots of people, and plenty of children having a great time. There are no changes rooms here so come prepared to swim or to change cloths in your car.
