We have seen more than one archaeological site from this period in prehistory. Poliochni is by far the most easy for an amateur to interpret and understand. There are 3 successive videos in the small visitor information building (air conditioned). Recommend watching all 3 and reading the informational signs on the walls before walking around the site. Clean WCs were a nice surprise. 5E per adult as...

Magical. We visited this site on the occasion of the August full moon, when archeological sites all over Greece open at night. This is one of the oldest cities in Europe dating back to 3000 BC. It’s an interesting place with a small museum about the history of this settlement. They are currently upgrading the information available around the ruins, but even so, it’s still worth the visit now

Visit Sat Aug 2025 - family with 2 toddlers. Site is well made, modern, with videos, photos and site models to help the visitor better understand. We walked through the ruins and got a feeling of living in this prehistoric city. Highly recommended visit.
