Paralia Keros — Attraction in Lemnos Municipality

The beach is an amazing place. Only in winter though. In summer it is destroyed with cheap "tourism". Unfortunately, just behind the beach, behind the dunes, there are hundreds of camping vans, trailers, the cheap free roaming "tourists" and businesses pretending a "surf life" and "van life". Destroying a public space. The officially agricultural land, bordering with natural reserve area, is being exploited as a mass camper spaces. With no infrastructure to support it. All along the bay the same. Where does their sewage go? Absolutely overcrowded, noisy, polluted. A great place if you are into wind surfing both for amateurs and skilled wind surfers. The beach is not one of the best in Greece, however it is one of the best I 've been for learning how to wind surf. My son took several wind surfing lessons and he loved it. Εξαιρετική παραλία, από τις μεγαλύτερες της Λήμνου. Βρίσκεται στην ανατολική πλευρά του νησιού, κοντά στα χωριά Κοντοπούλι και Καλλιόπη. Επειδή στην παραλία συχνά φυσάει δυνατά, είναι διάσημη για όλους όσοι ασχολούνται με το kite surf. Κάθε χρόνο, συγκεντρώνει πλήθος νέων από όλο τον κόσμο, οι οποίοι κυριολεκτικά οργώνουν όλη την έκταση της θάλασσας μπροστά στην παραλία. Αλλά και για όποιον θέλει να κάνει απλά το μπάνιο του, η παραλία είναι τεράστια και εύκολα θα βρείτε τη δική σας γωνιά. Αμμουδερή, σε θαυμάσιο και πλούσιο σε δέντρα φυσικό περιβάλλον, πεντακάθαρα νερά, αρκετά beach bar και οργανωμένα με ομπρελοκαθίσματα κομμάτια, όπως και με αρκετές επιχειρήσεις με εξοπλισμό για kite surf. Είδαμε και πολλά τροχόσπιτα να έχουν βρει καταφύγιο κάτω από τα δέντρα, δίπλα στην παραλία, των οποίων οι ιδιοκτήτες απολάμβαναν τη διαμονή τους στην πανέμορφη φύση της περιοχής, επιδιδόμενοι στο αγαπημένο τους άθλημα από νωρίς το πρωί.
