This review is long overdue, but I couldn’t let the year end without sharing how incredible our experience at Acheon Winery was. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the two amazing sisters, Katerina and Sosanna Katsikosta, whose passion and dedication truly bring this place to life. Katerina took us high up the mountain to a breathtaking view—an experience that felt so special and intimate. It’s not a drive I would have felt comfortable making on my own, but Katerina made it seamless, sharing stories and insights along the way. The views alone would have been worth the visit, but what awaited us at the winery made it unforgettable. Sosanna’s wines are absolutely incredible. We fell in love with the Sideritis grape—an exceptional discovery—and it ignited a newfound appreciation for Greek wines. In fact, we ended up buying two suitcases just to bring it all home! Every sip reflects her expertise and the rich tradition of the region. The food served was so delicious that I couldn’t resist asking for all the recipes via email. Every bite was crafted with care, perfectly complementing the wines. What struck us most was the story of their family and how they’ve embraced their unique roles to create something truly special. You can feel the love and dedication in every aspect of the winery—from the vines to the table. I can’t say enough wonderful things about Acheon Winery and the remarkable sisters who make it so magical. If you ever find yourself in Greece, don’t miss the chance to experience this slice of heaven.

The visit to this winery it's worth the credit due to the amazing host Katerina, one the 4 siblings running the family business. A tour explaining all the process of the wine production together with the handmade lunch and classical music made this unique tasting experience unforgettable. Exceptional wines are the Sideritis, an amphora aged white wine and Laura Mobile, a dry red wine.

Such a lovely hospitality, like a cream on the cake. 3th generation of a wine producer family, rightly proud of their heritage. Excellent set of wines. An unforgettable experience.

The entire evening was a masterclass in oenology, led by sisters whose expertise was matched only by their genuine warmth and patience. They didn't just pour wine; they told stories about each variety, sharing their passion and taking the time to truly understand our palates. The culinary offerings served as a perfect, harmonious backdrop to the wine. Each dish was a testament to the sisters' skill, carefully crafted with a homemade touch to complement and elevate the flavours of the wines. The food was delicious, demonstrating a deep understanding of how to pair gastronomy with a world-class wine selection. Their collective passion for their craft created a truly welcoming atmosphere, ensuring our evening was not just enjoyable, but truly unforgettable. This establishment has perfectly balanced outstanding wine with exceptional service and delicious food, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Moreover, we were especially grateful that Katerina went above and beyond, organising accommodation for us at Xari's beautiful place...
