A really beautiful, clean and sandy beach. Sunbeds and umbrellas available. Beach bar in season. You may take water taxi from Katapola port both ways. You may also walk. If you decide it is 45 min from Katapola port. Google map misleads you. When you reach the signs telling you to go along the beach - that is why you should do so. When coming to the iconic small church you cross to Paralia Maltezi. Walk along this stony beach and climb up the rocky hill. Follow the green painted arrows. Now, though the lady in the cantina is wonderful, the coffee is terrible and in addition you have to wait 20min to get a coffee,so you can imagine the line of people. WC: there is one portable public toilet which is awful, never cleaned the last couple of months and it’s a source of bacteria and a danger for public health. This is under the responsibility of the Municipality of Amorgos and it needs its immediate attention and action! Read moreA nice beach about 25 minutes walk from the port ( the walks a bit up and down in places, so not great for anyone with mobility issues ) or just catch the little boat.
In mid-June one end of the beach was costumes optional, but, though we'd normally strip off, the rest of the beach was nicer so we didn't bother.
There are sunbeds if you want them which I think were in the order of 15 to 20 Euros for a pair, but we just threw towels down and lay on the sand.
