We visited Dragonera Beach in Agistri in the first days of May and absolutely loved it. Our experience was incredibly peaceful — there were maybe around 20 people on the entire beach, so it felt calm, quiet, and relaxing. If you’re looking for a spot to unwind away from the crowds, this is definitely a place to check out.
The water was beautiful and refreshing. Just a small heads-up: getting in and out of the sea can be a little tricky at first, as there are quite a few rocks at the shoreline and on the sea bottom. You just need to watch your step, but once you’re in, it’s really nice and worth it.
Access to the beach is very easy. If you’re coming by scooter or car, you can park almost right in front of the beach. If you arrive by bus, it’s just a short, easy walk downhill — nothing too long or difficult.
We got around the island by scooter, which made it easy to visit different beaches, but even without one, Dragonera is absolutely worth the trip. When we went, the beach rental (for sunbeds and such) wasn’t open yet, so we just laid our towels down in the shade and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. We noticed they were getting the food truck ready to open soon.
I can’t speak for how it is in July or August — it’s likely busier in high season — but in May, it was simply fantastic. The natural surroundings are stunning and really add to the experience.
Overall, Dragonera Beach is a beautiful, peaceful spot with easy access, and it’s well worth a visit if...
Read moreNice sunset and nice souvlakis. The owners were really nice and in general really inviting. Also the music was good and it gave a nice summer vibe(Bob Marley etc). The beach did not have sand and also didn't offer a shower or a bathroom with a toilet. The bar offered a big variety of drinks, heavy (whiskey, gin, vodka etc) and light (beers, ciders, virgin cocktails etc)and they had reasonable prices .In general it wasn't really crowded and that was really nice considering the pandemic. The day I went the waters were amazing, warm and still, and that made it a really pleasent experience especially for freestyle swimming. It was suitable for water sports like kayaking and sub.The only downside was that the road to gain gain access to the beach was really steep and not suitable for people with small cars. All in all it was a perfect summer experience and the right way to spend your time on vacation. If you found this review helpful please...
Read moreThe water was crystal clear so its definitely worth the swim, plus the scenery with the trees around the beach is beautiful. At Dragonera you have a few beds and some chairs by thr cantina. It's mostly rocks but just 5 meters from the beach you can lay your towel under the shade of the trees. The beach can either be reached by the public bus, which is around 2 euros or by hiking. The public bus passes from Skala just next to the port and has another stop or two on the way. It follows its schedule consistently so you can rely on it without problem. The bus schedule can be found on the Internet in their Facebook page for example. The hiking path starts around 10 minutes after passing Megalochori. Between Megalochori and the path you are on the road so it's not very pleasant but the hiking...
