Read moreA good place to snorkel and a somewhat unique destination. There is a small, rocky beach and a covered area to stay out of the sun. The snorkeling is pretty good though you might want to wear water shoes as the rocks can be a bit painful.
I'm not sure you'd want to make a destination of this if you need to drive hours to get here. It's really nice especially for snorkeling but there are a lot of beaches on Crete! Visit the nearby German bunker if you want to add something to your visit.
Google shows a route all the way down to the beach where there are about 6-8 parking spots. If you are driving a large vehicle or are not confident in driving up a steep slope, I would suggest parking at the top near the house and walking down.
