Too expensive for young families and don't waste your time with the transfer if you are staying in Chania.

Ordered the tickets online since I was told it was cheaper when I asked over the phone. I told them the ages of my children on the phone.  I have a 6 year old and a 4 year old. I purchased two adult tickets and two children's tickets. My 4 year old is only 1 meter tall and my other children is only 1.08 meters tall. When I got the park, it was realised that I didn't need the the childrens tickets, but they wouldn't give me a refund. They could have at least given me some vouchers for food but gave me nothing.

That was €30 wasted instantly. I would have been better off buying the tickets in person. They should have at least refunded one of the tickets as a goodwill gesture.

The transfer arrived late to take us there and went we got to Limnopoulis, there was no sunbeds free near the children's pool. Had to sit far away from the children's area. Not good when the floor is hot.

Spent the whole day sitting on the side of the children pool to supervise my small children. They couldn't use anything else but the children's pool.

Limnopolis also does not allow adults to use the slides with their children so my wife and I just spent the whole day taking turns to watch the children go down a small slide.

When I tried to use the lazy river with my children, there was no rings left. I went there three seperate times and couldn't find any so couldn't use it.

The children got bored after a couple of hours since there is only three slides for the children. Had to wait until 5pm for the transfer bus.

The drink prices are reasonable but the food is extremely poor quality and overpriced.  Spent almost €10 for nuggets and chips which were bland and flavourless. Also took 20 minutes for them to arrive.

As for the transfer service, the transfer stops at numerous hotels to pick and drop people off. We were located the closest to the waterpark which is approximately 17 minutes drive to the water park from Chania. Transfer arrived late and we therefore got there late.

On the return. Transfer left 10 minutes late and even though we were the closest, it dropped us off last. For what would have been a 17 minute taxi drive, the transfer took a whole 90 minutes to take us back to Chania dropping everyone else first. We were also charged €30 for the round trip where a taxi would have been a similar price of €15 euro each way and without the inconvenience.

My recommendation is to only go to the waterpark if you have children older than 8 years old. This was because I was charged for small children and they could only use the children pool.  If you are staying in Chania, do not use the transfer service and make sure you bring your own food.  Also make sure that if your children are under 1.1m you do not accidentally buy then a ticket because you will not get a refund.

In my opinion, this was €108 euros wasted (inc €30 transfer) + an additional €9.90 for the...

Limnoupolis is an ancient waterpark. You can see and feel that everything is old here, and the price isnt worth it (about 80 euros for 2 adults and 2 kids for a day). As its the only large water park in western Crete, you dont really have a choice if your kids want a waterpark day, but its a shame this park has been left in such a way. We visited in 2019 and again in 2022 and NOTHING had changed. (There are a couple of much smaller water parks in the Chania area)

The slides all date from between 1996 and 2004 (its written on each one). Some of them hurt your back as the connections between the slide sections are « bumpy ». There arent that many slides, and no « modern » ones (no half-pipe, no torpedo circular slide where you fall in the middle, no wave pool). On some slides, the staff who help you at the start of each slide cannot see the exit, so send you on your way without knowing whether the previous person got to the bottom (no monitor screen or visual with the attendants at the bottom). Particularly on the Giant slide, I saw one child getting stuck and hit by the next person coming, giving him whiplash. Another child on the same slide had his rubber ring get stuck and had to climb his way back up - he was in tears. Most of the rings arent properly blown up either and are only half full of air (and most look old). Not enough two person rings are available. There is hardly any current in the lazy river, it is really VERY lazy. The baby pool’s slides are all old, the zip line drops you in 1m40 of water, the only diving board is rigid and no flips are allowed. You get the feeling that the park is just not making any changes or adding anything as there is no other choice but to go to their park in the area. Stairs are chipped. Seats in the pool bar are missing on the pool side, clearly they have never bothered to replace them. The « jacuzzi » has hardly any water jets. Food choice is poor in the restaurants, and expensive as you’d expect in a water park. The terraces have noisy metallic sounding fans. Constant music blares out from speakers around the park. Around the park, bricks on the ground move and stick out, easy to get your foot caught in them.

On the plus side, the gardens and plants are well maintained. Staff are very helpful, friendly and vigilant. Shops and sunbeds are ok and in sufficient quantity. There is a lot of shade.

Most kids probably wont notice all of the above and will have a good time, but its a shame. My 12 year old son has been to many waterparks and noted that the choice of slides was limited, and everything was old. I did all the slides in 2 hours and then got bored.

Its just an old waterpark…it needs serious renovation to meet today’s standards. I won’t return unless some work is done to upgrade...

I was there with my girlfriend and child (9). In general, it was a beautiful experience and we had good fun. Positive things: very nice and helpful stuff, every slide and pool and other activities have staff and life guards who really keep safety on first place no long queues, at least not on a normal day (i was not there on a weekend), we could slide almost immediately the toilets are clean and get cleaned regularily during the day the nature is amazing: there are a lot of plants and trees and if its not to full you also find places in the shadow

Sadly some things lowered the experience a little bit: the slides and everything are actually only open from 11:00 to 18:00 some slides are not so fun to use (like the twisted tunnels) the other slides are very funny, but pretty short (but you know that if you go there and took a look on google maps, but still) Beside the slides and the pretty nice area for smaller children are less possibilities, for example: you can only jump from one place into one pool from maybe 2 meters height, theres no jump tower if you hurt yourself, dont be afraid to ask someone for first aid; there is a well equipped first aid station, but its not occupied all the time and not easy to find immediately (its beside the entrance); sadly not all know this and the staff from the restaurant in the middle didnt tell when a child was crying with a wounded knee the restaurants are of low quality: the (fast) food is OK when you are hungry, but you pay too much for the cheap ingredients, you dont have alternatives, but you can bring your own food i guess; the drinks are expensive, except in the mini market at the entrance, which is nice it feels like there was no investment in the park since it opened 1997. Everything seems to be here since 27 years and some bars which they dont need are closed and stuffed with all kinds of things, so it feels like it could be a lot nicer here with more possibilities, but they didnt add anything new since 1997 - only maintenance to keep what they have if you keep this in mind, the entrance fee seems too high; at least you should buy in advance online to...
