We visited here going toward Lasithi Plateau, it worths the slight detour. Parking is below the monastery where the road ends. Garden is nice, everything is small, a small inner garden, a small church, and a small museum.
The frescoes are seemingly old, though I cannot date orthodox religious paintings. They are impressive and a bit dark.

The site has a great museum which has a brilliant set of photos from the villagers from 1940 right upto 1970s along with the religious artifacts you would expect. The young lady who runs the museum is very knowledgeable. The little church on site is amazing with the original painted Icons and you are transported back in time.
