Paralia Tripitis — Attraction in Municipality of Gortys

Note: we visited on what ended up being a very windy (northly) day.

This is a very beautiful spot with the descent into the Gorge being a lot of fun (if you enjoy the gravel trail with no guard rails) with spectacular views, some friendly goats and apiaries.

The Gorge itself has steep walls either side, making it quite imposing, although it is itself only 70-100m in length at its narrowest.

At the beach it’s a pebble/dark sand beach and water is cool. There is a taverna which has a good selection of food and drinks.

For us, the wind became a challenge as the sand was being picked up in gusts and blown through the Gorge onto the beach and also at the taverna. Nothing that can be done other than to come back on not such...

Quiet and beautiful place on earth. A minimum of people go here because it is a difficult road. There are two options, unfortunately we chose the worse one. But the Fiat Panda managed it anyway. Nice long beach with only very few visitors. There is a small tavern providing all the basics. Bring sandals and umbrella as the sand gets very hot and the few trees are occupied fast. While it’s possible to access the beach with a Nissan micra, I’d recommend a 4x4 if you’re not up for an adventure. Also the other beaches close to it require a 4x4 to...
