The beach as such is not anything special. But in any case, Hydra is not known for its beautiful beaches. However, there are some good things about it. First of all, the waters are very clean and the sea depth very interesting for snorkeling. Secondly, it's organized, therefore you can rent a set of sun beds with an umbrella (for 15€) and have something to drink or eat. And finally, there are a couple of nice tavernas next to the beach if you would like to have a lunch. So, you can spend quite sime time in this beach. Read moreLovely uncrowded and unpretentious beach with a village feel. Pristine waters and lovely views. Not many boats at all. A reasonable 10 euros return from Hydra Port with an hourly connection, or a scenic 40 min walk. Lovely reddish brown ground stone and pebbles, so make sure you have your obligatory, if visiting Greece, pebble slippers. Normal beach set hire fees and two great tavernas to choose from with delicious offerings (I had grilled fresh octopus and a salad), and there is plenty of shaded seating at both.
