Great beach - mostly coarse sand of the type found along most of this coast, but there's a quiet pebbly section towards the far end (away from the taverna). You can also rent sunbeds and a parasol in the sandy part of the beach if that's your sort of thing.
Bit of a drive down a narrow road to get to the bottom, where there is a small car park. The taverna tend to block out most of the parking spaces so a lot of people seem to give up and drive away, but if you wait then a staff member will come over and clear a space for you (as long as you are going to buy a drink or food in the taverna). This is probably a bit cheeky and seems to annoy the locals (not sure if they actually own the car park?!) but since we were eating in the taverna anyway, which has good vegetarian food, it worked well for us. A lovely beach.
