Tomb of Homer — Attraction in Municipality of Ios

Great experience to visit, The place could do with a little TLC as it seems everyone just visits and uses the rocks to build whatever they want, People climbing all over everything ect. Would be awesome to include a little bit of history there for people who visit and have no idea why there is such a tomb dedicated to someone on Ios, But I would imagine that most of those visiting already know.

Make sure you have enough fuel in the quad for the ride there, A lot of steep climbs and there is nowhere to fill up once you leave the town.

Not much to see in terms of archaeology but a really fun drive and incredible views of neighbouring islands.

We went back at night to see the stars, there’s still a lot of light pollution this far out but was interesting the see the lights of other islands.

Nothing much to see in this place where one of the said most important person to have ever lived supposedly rests. However, I would still recommend to rent a quad or a car to see it as it is a nice little adventure far away from everything on Ios.
