Well worth visiting if you are staying in Kalymnos, it's about a 30 minute walk from the main town of Porthia, it's a steep climb to the top so take some water and a hat during the summer months because it can get very warm in the day time, once there you are greeted to some of the most amazing views of Porthia and the surrounding mountains of the island...

Just an old abandoned castle with nothing much to see. The way up is very steep and exhausting. Wouldn’t recommend. Yes you got a nice view, but you got the same view also all over the island.

Not much is left of the fortress, but it is worth it to get a feel for the views that open from above. Be sure to visit the monastery at the foot of the fortress.
