Pebbly beach, from hand-sized to gravel. Stunning views of Gavdos and the peaks of the White Mountains. Mid-May it is totally deserted, but there is a beach taverna that presumably opens as the season progresses. If you appreciate wild spaces, at least in mid May with a strong wind from the south-east, this is worth the little effort to visit. Apart from the few sun-beds and subtle markings for the E4 footpath to Elafonissi, things have probably not changed much in a few hundred or thousand years. The only minor negative is the expanse of greenhouses looking east.
