We did Gramvousa Island as part of a tour with Quality Travel (booked on GetYourGuide). It was a fantastic spot and I highly recommend it. You have to take a ferry to get here, and you'll likely be here after the stop at Balos Island. If you are are wondering if the hike up to the Venetian Castle/Fort is worth it, then the answer is a resounding YES. Just check with the tour guide if you have any health conditions.

We did Cretan Daily Cruises and it was a great experience. See my review for that. This was the first stop on the tour. It has a cool ship wreck and you have the option to stay on the beach or climb a million stairs to the lookout / castle walls. We opted for the beach. We were some of the first ones off the ship and got a spot under one of the many trees. You don’t need an umbrella if you are quick. 1.5 hours was a nice time.
