The Aiani Archaeological Museum is a museum in Aiani, West Macedonia, Greece. Although the museum was inaugurated in 1970, with a collection of antiquities of the ancient city but in 1983 a number of major additional finds meant that the museum had to be expanded considerably to house the new objects.

This is not an undiscovered gem. This is a treasure in full sight and in plain view that very few know about. Of course, I would say. You cannot combine it with a visit to a beach or any other well known tourist destination, of which innumerable can be found in this wonderful country. Nor, it seems, can one connect it with some great historical figure or event. The ancient Greeks of this land, contributed silently yet effectively to their civilization, but somehow never made it to the spotlight. The fact is, this museum lacks nothing. Exhibits cover almost all periods of ancient Greek history. Neolithic, Mycenean, Geometric, Archaic, Classical, Hellenistic, Roman. The displays are wonderful and the explanatory postings are adequate. If you happen to venture in these parts, don't miss it. Η Αιανή βρίσκεται 20 χλμ. νότια της Κοζάνης. Στην αρχαιότητα ανήκε στο βασίλειο της Ελιμιώτιδας , το οποίο μαζί με τα υπόλοιπα ελληνικά βασίλεια αποτελούσαν την Άνω Μακεδονία των αρχαίων . Με τις συστηματικές ανασκαφές που έγιναν το 1983 , έφεραν στο φως σημαντικά ευρήματα , που αποκαλύπτουν την προϊστορία της ευρύτερης περιοχής .
