I have visited this beach three days during the week: Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I was advised to stay away from here on Saturday and Sunday due to the crowds. I found Friday to still be busy despite getting here at 10:00 AM. I initially didn't get a good spot but fortunately someone left at around 1:00 PM on the far right facing the sea; the last possible spot to settle on since it allowed me to discreetly sunbathe au naturel. I noticed that I was the only one, but the others around me for the most part didn't mind; only one person left to go to another spot. To avoid making anyone uncomfortable on Monday when I returned, I arrived at 9:30 AM and chose the same spot on the far right end of the beach and put up a privacy screen with two signs on either end in English and Greek, warning them of nudity. It kept most people away, but those who didn't mind, settled nearby. Again I was the only naturists. I assume that only the tourists come here for naturism, and it was already the start of low season. The beach wasn't crowded at all on Monday and Wednesday, but it's advisable to come early...by 10:00 or so to get the best spots, which appears to be the middle of the beach for clothed bathers; that's where the ocean floor has the least rocks. The water is clear and calm for the most part, but it can have strong waves when it's very windy. It's a very good accessible beach by car and by the 122 city bus. Watch yourself coming down the stairs; I slipped and scraped my knee. Bring whatever you need for the day since it's an unorganized, free beach. It's a very good vibe here, mostly singles, couples and small groups of friends, young and old. No young children when I was there. Everyone kept to themselves and respected their space, privacy and personal choices regarding beach attire. Very quiet and relaxing. Just wished that there weren't so many huge slippery rocks on the ocean floor on the far right and left sides...
Read moreOne of the best beaches in Athens for sure. The beach is just beautiful and reminds you a lot one insland beach. The scenery with the rocks behind or inside the beach gives you an impression that you are in some tropical insland. The beach is 85% from soft sand with some small pebbles which not bother you. The entrance is soft and safe. Go deeper if you walk a bit. Also was very clean and refreshing in august. Overall one small beautiful beach with amazing scenery and clean water. Visit morning in working days. In weekends has a lot crowd. Also there is two beach in both sides right and left. Make sure to find the right one even thought all...
Read moreVery decent beach, considering you're so close to Athens (took us ~30 minutes from Ilioupolis on a motorcycle) and not overly crowded, also considering it's the middle of August. Sandy beach, rocky once you get it but it doesn't bother you since it's pretty deep and the waters seemed very clean. It's not organized, be prepared before you get there (there are 2 large kiosks on your way there, 5 minutes before you reach the beach). All in all, we were positively surprised! (Don't worry about the rocks you see in my photo, they are at the far left side of...
