Moraitis Beach — Attraction in Municipality of Marathonas

Unfortunately our experience at Moraitis was a bad one. Getting into the establishment we were informed at the gate that minimum consumption is 5 euros and beach beds were 6 euros per set. When we actually sat down we were informed that they were 20 euros per set, which ofcourse we paid. The employee said that she would inform management. Management came and with a very poor attitude asked whether we were the ones that challenged the price. She was about to challenge us because she thought that we had not paid. After we solved that she said in a very authorative way that the employee at the gate will be fired today further destroying the relaxing atmosphere and trying to avoid taking on responsibility. To be honest if you treat your employees in this unethical way, I will suggest not visiting the business. It is lack of morale. Everything went downhill with this place ever since the owner changed. There is not enough sunbeds and everything is terribly overpriced. You have to buy something otherwise you will be told you cant use a table with a sunbed. The prices are a joke. Especially fir this part of greece. To tgop it all off the service is miserable. The staff is slow& confused, it mainly seems to be younger people.. They are also rude. They talk badly about the customers in greek and seem like they would want to not interact with the customers at all. Eventhough i spent all day watching my kids on the sunbed i still went home with red skin. The material of it must have been really bad for this to happen. We will not come back. Sun beds are free on weekdays. There is still a 4 € "consumption fee" (for the snack bar) you are given on entry so you can then get out, not so clear how it works. Prices of snacks and drinks are high but all facilities from WC, showers and changing rooms are there and the (sandy) beach is clean at least. The sun beds even have a little box at the top where you can store valuables with a key that's attached to a wristwatch type of contraption you can carry into the sea for peace of mind.
