Nice private beach with beautiful waters. It’s all rocks so it’s not the most comfortable spot unless you have some chairs. Didn’t stay to hang out, just continued on to explore some more off road destinations. Followed the advice of a previous review, because google directions was trying to make us go through private property to get to the beach. Instead of making the turn onto the property continue straight and follow the road signs that says kastanas (καστανας). It will lead you to a winding rocky dirt road that just continues on all the way to the beach.

Probably my favourite beach on the island. It's quite difficult to get to, but that means few people, and that is one of its charms. A 4x4 is recommended, but it could be done without (but not with a hire car). It's effectively 2 beaches (3 if you include the little one with the arch) divided by big rocks. The beauty is the wildness and the amazing colours of the rocks and pebbles. The mining is closing in fast. It doesn't detract from the beauty, but I don't know for how much longer.

Beautiful secluded spot. Just as others have said it’s a very rough dirt road to get there and the beach itself is stones which are challenging to walk on. There are no services and little cell reception. But that’s the charm of this small, quiet spot. Google directions had us try and approach via someone’s property, fortunately there is a “do not enter” sign in both Greek and English. We doubled back to the sign for “Kastana” and followed that road successfully.

If you visited all the must-see beaches of Milos, you had enough of Sarakinikos, Firiplakas and looking for a quite day by the sea side then this little gem of a beach is for you. It's remote location and somewhat stressful road (beware 24 hours heavy vehicles traffic) leave this beach unnoticed by most tourists. Yet its natural beauty and volcanic almost from another landscape and myriad of colorful pebble stones make it no less attractive and majestic than most famous Milos beaches. It takes a while to get there but believe me it's worth the effort! Just a perfect day hideout for an old pirate or just and ordinary tourist looking for...
