Such a cool beach! Slight sulfur smell obviously but it is a wild space to enjoy gorgeous water on a small soft pebbled beach with a really interesting background. A very unique and cool spot!

DRIVING TIPS. Here’s the tip about driving: I took an automatic transmission Suzuki car all the way down. It’s not for the faint of heart I’ll tell you that. There’s parking almost at the bottom some folks do, but we decided to go all the way down. We saw some cars down there so the trip is possible, it can have your heart racing because it’s steep and a dirt road. BUT going up can be scary especially if you get stuck (we did) - if you do, you may need some acceleration to get over any potholes or dips so gently back up to a flatter part, and accelerate through a bumpy patch and control the wheel. It may be absolutely terrifying and bumpy but you got this and then boom you’re out of the trouble. Be sure to have full concentration so no music no distractions at all.

Every time we told a local person we did that beach and drove down they just said “wow we didn’t expect that” 😅

[While the beach is STUNNING I am giving it 4/5 stars because the drive took 5 years...

I don’t understand why some users found it difficult to reach this beach! I rented a small manual hatchback and made it to the shore without a problem. Even though I’m scared of dirt roads, the one leading to this beach is perfectly doable and I was able to park just a few meters away from the beach! There’s an old brick bridge on the sand that provides plenty of shade and the abandoned mining ruins behind you are spooky! No mosquitoes there! The water was crystal clear and perfect for snorkelling, I could spot a pipe and some sulfur spots...

The old sulfur mines are really interesting, just the road to the caves are difficult. If you have a car which can be droven in the country-side/wild side than park before the hill begins, they are some platforms for that . Or on the side of the road is also an possibility. If u have a quad its perfect to drive their and around those hills and caves. U can park all the way down the hill till their is no road and the rest by foot. If both potions aren‘t for you, they are sone faires which drive to those areas. A much...
