this winery is easy to find - just a few kms past the centre of Nemea. It's based next to the river in a stunning valley surrounded by vine studded hills. Sofia offered us a tasting (there are options for 3 or 6 wines with a cheese platter if you like) We had eaten lunch so I opted to taste - 3 whites, 1 rose' and 1 red. Tasting fees are reasonable at 15 euros up. It was so quiet on a Saturday afternoon in May we were the only people there! This gave us time to explore a bit and listen to a very professional wine presentation from Sofia. the Kydonitsa white was my favourite of the day. Reminded me of a quality South African chenin blanc. We highly recommend a visit here! Now Greek tourism needs to promote this wine route with a bit more vigour as it's not that easy to work out an overview of what's on offer. I suggest a website that brings together the whole Nemea wine route with a map and simple intro for each wine estate so us foreigners can make...
Read moreKonstantinos and Dionysia managed to give yet another great party on Saturday night 6/9/25 during the Open Nemea Days.
We could watch the full moon on the sky over the Estate whilst enjoying a refreshing wine-based cocktail in their upper yard.
The scenery around is reminiscent of Tuscany, the only Winery in the region that can offer such an experience.
The catering was elegant and rich, mirroring their hospitality. The staff made an extra effort and went out of their way to adjust to our vegetarian needs. Plus, at the end of the party we all had free access to the remaining food.
The dj listened to our needs and we ended up dancing like crazy in the special designated area by the tree. Dionysia was so generous and offered us an extra bottle of their marvelous Themelio.
Such a great party. Such a great scenery. Such a great hospitality with great wine that they are experts in producing. A...
Read moreIf you are curious of Greek local varieties and the stories behind in the main wine region of Nemea in Greece, this vineyard would be one of the best in quality and presentation. This winery has the roots coming from the tradition and also modernized faced of wine making. Unquestionably suggested from the heart! We had an opportunity to track the evolution of Vasilio from 2013-2018 thanks to my best friends Nejva&Alexandros. Vasilio 2018 was our favourite at the tasting. Vasilio 2013 had enough acidity to carry beautiful complex flavors plus round tannins and mouthfully delicious. We drank this beautiful wine with spagetti including minced meat flavored by fresh oregano, smoked garlic, tomato which brought us the...
