Holy Monastery of the Transfiguration of the Saviour (Loukou Monastery) — Attraction in Municipality of North Kynouria

Worth a visit, especially if you are religious. No piccies inside the church but no probs everywhere else. Lovely gardens. You are there probably for 30-40 minutes max. Entry is free, but be prepared to buy something from their shop after they supply you with a glass of water and a fruit sweet. 💛A little piece of heaven💛 The monastery is easily accessible as it is located close to a main road and provides a big parking. While entering the monastery you will walk through a flowery path which leads to the chapel. The chapel has an ancient marble floor and very old paintings covering the walls and ceiling. Beautiful and peacefull place, very kind people who gave us a warm welcome. First they show you the church and then they offer you iced water and some delights. They make time for a small chat and you can buy some souvenirs in their shop (religious items, komboskinis, local delights,...)
