Paralia Glistra — Attraction in Municipality of Rhodes

sorry to report just got back from Rhodes and visited my favourite beach but to my serprise the owner of the beach have changed so sad the lady that had run it for years had gone . Where you had a lovely welcome and lovely Greek food a beautiful clean beach and fantastic service . has been replaced with a white catering van that only serve taostes and mythos which are disgusting and over priced .the water and beach that was so clean now has rubbish and plastic bags on it and in the water won't be going back again bin going this beach for 5 years what a mess glystra beach is now bring back the lovely lady that run it .now it's a disgrace how the new people run it turning up at 11 o'clock not cleaning beach food is terable over priced thease people should be kicked off and bring back the family that run it for years won't be going back to glystra...

This beach is stunning. The sun beds and umbrellas are all very good quality and provide storage for valuables and a charging point for mobiles. There is also a lovely quirky cantina serving drinks and snacks with seating available. However the WC facilities are beyond bad. These toilets have not been updated for decades, there is a burst water system on the roof resulting in water running off outside the gents door. I could smell them as I approached and found the cleanliness to be completely absent. This issue needs addressing immediately given that we are now living with covid and the risk of transmission must be huge in this building. A must see beach if your in Rhodes. The beach is stunning we struggled to find and pebbles or shells! The water was warm hardly any waves, great for kids to play. Sun beds are clean and very comfy with a safe provided!

Now the downsides are you have no food or drink options. There’s a crappy snack van there but, honestly not worth the visit it’s run by two clowns who clearly don’t care about the service or the food. You have a very limited choice of drinks and oh either a sandwich or a baguette of cheese and ham or turkey and ham! No toilets about and just a single shower with stupid cues! Last downside was it was difficult to get a cab from here so make sure you’ve prepared your taxi (or hire a car) before...
