It was a memorable experience that even made us forget that we were in a touristic island. Kids loved the place from the first minute. They have different and interesting toys from different eras. There was a Chinese battery powered chicken laying eggs while moving from the 60s. Yes, it is still working perfectly.
I liked the arcades from 80s and 90s. Kids also played with some old games and gaming consoles like Nintendo and all free after you pay for the ticket for the entrance.
There was free wifi and you can even buy some of the toys as souvenir. It was off season in April so we were the only ones inside but I suggest you ask them for a less crowded time before going.
It also has a beautiful mountain view so you can sit outside having your drink and chill while the kids are busy playing inside
The Dutch lady who owns the place was very helpful telling about the story behind the place and details of toys from different eras and countries. It was obvious she really likes what she does.
If you some extra time I definitely suggest visiting this place if you have kids. It is on the way to Valley of the...
Read moreWe came early when they just opened and we had the whole museum to ourselves. Definitely recommend going there early, so you can avoid crowds.
Entrance fee is only 4€/ person. It is definitely worth it.
On the first floor you can see old toys made in Greece, all separated to different time periods.
Downstairs there is an arcade where you can play (for free/ no coins needed) games from Super Mario, Flipper to racing games.
There are also many small toys kids can play and interact with. There’s also a small mystery/ treasure hunt to solve, by gathering clues around the museum.
The staff is great and know a lot about the games, and you can see they love their job. If you have time, have a chat with them.
There’s a gift shop selling all kinds of old games and toys.
There are lots of parking spots around the museum.
Combine your visit with 7 Springs. Visit the museum first and then enjoy lunch at the beautiful...
Read moreThe museum itself has plenty of parking space at the entrance and placed among the beautiful mountain and tree view. Nice, peaceful and quiet place. After a visit inside, recommend to sit outside, where you also can play some games, having a coffee or a drink (bought at the museum). Was absolutely stunning with Greek toys exhibition, cataloged by years, from 50s to 90s, lots of great, well-preserved stuff, games, toy soldiers, cars, robots etc. This is a lot you can tell about country from its toys. Also have some old wise, entertaining games, that you can play with your kids, at the ground floor. You can buy a few also. A lot of legendary arcade, PC and console games at the underground, all work perfectly well. Don’t miss the toy soldiers variations and car models on the stairs! Generally speaking, very interesting and fascinating museum, worth every minute spent on it. Highly recommended for both...
