Dragon's Beach (Ammoudi) — Attraction in Municipality of Sitia

If you’re thinking about visiting this beach, keep in mind it depends a bit on where you’re staying—it might be a little out of the way, but honestly, it’s absolutely worth it! The water is super clean, and you’ll find both shallow spots (great if you’re not a strong swimmer or have kids with you) and deeper areas if you want to go for a proper swim. There’s soft sand and the prices for sunbeds are actually reasonable, with options at 10€, 15€, and 20€, so you can choose what works for you. Great beach. After my personal preferences is in top 5 beaches in Crete. Very fine sand, crystal clear water, easy access in water, good for children and some places for snorkeling near the rocks. Easy access by car in an organized parking place and then a few steps to the beach. Beach is organized in 2: half with sun beds (10€/set) and beach bar, half free. Beach bar is well stocked with food and drink and prices are average. In weekend days there is a DJ performing on the beach. There s a beach where I’ll happily return…although I’m a fun for one day...

Our favourite discovery this year! We got back two times from Nikolaos, even though it's 1.5h drive in one way, it was worth it! Beautiful beach! Beautiful sand!
