Bouka Beach — Attraction in Municipality of Southern Corfu

Bouka Beach near Lefkimmi in the southern part of Corfu is an absolute gem! 🌊 The beach offers soft, golden sand and crystal-clear waters that remain shallow for quite a distance, making it perfect for families with young children. 👶 The addition of inflatable water games adds an extra layer of fun—just €10 per person for an hour or €15 for the entire day! 🎉

The beach is also equipped with a well-stocked chiringuito where you can grab a bite to eat and enjoy a refreshing drink. 🍹 As for lounging, you can get two sunbeds and an umbrella for €14 in the front row, or €12 if you’re okay with sitting a bit further back. 🏖️

For me this is one of the nicer beaches on the island. Many have described the beach and the lovely warm shallow waters so I won't detail that further. There is one restaurant here so they have the complete monopoly including the vast sunbed area which will set you back €12 a set for a basic bed with no cushions or €14 for the better front line beds with cushions. The dearest we found during our 2 week trip to Corfu. On the plus side the restaurant food and drinks costs weren't extortionate. We had a club sandwich for lunch which was a bit on the dry side. I was saddened by the state of the beach and surrounding area outside of the sunbed zone though. Lots of plastic bottles, rope, tin cans and laughing gas bottles. Real shame the local authority doesn't do anything to protect these beautiful assets. Don't forget to visit the town too. Lovely restaurants...

Bouka Beach has its charm, especially with its crystal-clear water and beautiful weather, which never fail to impress on Corfu. My partner absolutely loved it, but I personally had mixed feelings. While the setting is naturally stunning, I couldn’t ignore the fact that the beach was not as clean as I would have expected. A bit more attention from the local authorities would make a big difference, as such places deserve proper care, especially when welcoming tourists.
