This complaint is in relation to discriminatory and rude behaviour from the Volotea check in counter.
On 27 September 2022, around 15:20pm - flight to Mykonos flight number V7 4156, my mom and myself went to the Volotea check in counter to check in. There was an extra fee costing €30 per person for the airport check in and we had no idea about that.
The blond lady at the check in counter was directing us to pay with very rude and discriminatory remarks. I asked her about the direction in relation to the airport check in fee and she told us off to move to the side to sought that by ourselves so she can serve the next person. Is it wrong to ask where is that direction?
So we went to the side and went back to the line to pay and check in however she REFUSED to serve us and told us to wait for her male collegue to check in us while she was sitting doing nothing.
She said she is working for sky serve or skyserv sitting on the Volotea check in counter processing the customer.
This is very shameful on your company and beyond, upon the reputation of Greece because this was how they serve their customer in the most biggest International Airport in Greece.
Moving forward, I hope this complaint makes bit better for the future about that lady at the check in counter. I don’t know how was her day - maybe it was very bad or not - it was not an appropriate and unacceptable behaviour.
P.S - for future customers - I do not recommend this flight company and please don’t use it if you don’t want to ruin...
Read moreWe left our phone in an airplane from our journey from Santorini to Athens. We hoped that skyserv would help us, but instead we were greeted by an abundant understatement of an unpleasant man who immediately shushed us when we began to tell him of our situation, a foreshadowing of what was to come. Nevertheless, we tried speaking to him but he seemed annoyed, lazy and completely unhelpful. He paced around the desk like an animal in a cage. When we asked how long it would take for the phone to arrive as we were pressed for time, he never responded or went back to pacing around. An hour went by until we got so frustrated that we were going to miss our connecting flight that we started to speak to him more loudly. He responded by telling us that it was our fault that we left the phone in the plane and that he was going to call the police on us although we hadn't done anything wrong. At this point, we had 20 minutes to board our flight with zero updates on the location of the phone. Even if it was not possible to bring it, he should have said so, so that we wouldn't miss our flight. He ended up retrieving the phone in two minutes after I raised my voice at him, which just goes to show that he was incredibly lazy from the start. Coming from the United States, this kind of customer service would get you fired in a second and needless to say, was an incredible disappointment. He remarked that it was our last time at the Athens airport and thank God it was. I will be calling to have...
Read moreBIG SCAMMERS! The girl behind the desk in Athens airport tried to help when I was checking in for my Scoot flight TR 721 from Athens to Singapore on Monday 9th of June, however the manager and a colleague next to her jumped on our conversation and were very rude to me dealing with my situation which was only a “travel size guitar” that I’ve been carrying around the world for many years, always on the overhead compartment, no matter how big the plane is or how full the flight is. The Skyserv manager gave me two options, pay €143 (€138 + €5 card surcharge) for extra luggage or buy an extra seat for my guitar. Went for the first option and the same manager allowed me to take my guitar onboard after the payment, and there were 36 empty seats just on the middle section of the plane, therefore plenty of room to take my guitar. I’m sure the staff doing the check ins can see how full the flight is and would be so nice if people were more human or at least polite when talking to customers. Feel bad for Scoot airlines that relies on such poor service for their check-in in Athens. For Skyserv, education and training is an investment on your company. For the staff, be nice to people and the world around you will change...
