The Archaeological Museum of Tegea is a hidden gem in the heart of the Peloponnese. Though small in size, it offers a surprisingly rich and well-organized collection. The exhibits span from the Neolithic to the Roman period, focusing on the important Arcadian city of Tegea. Highlights include the remnants of the Temple of Athena Alea and a beautiful collection of sculptures and inscriptions. The museum has been recently renovated and features modern displays with clear explanations in Greek and English. It’s a peaceful, uncrowded place, ideal for those who enjoy exploring history in depth. The setting is charming, surrounded by traditional houses and a quiet village square. The staff are friendly and eager to answer questions about the exhibits. Entry is 10 Euros for adults and free for children making it an excellent value for visitors. If you're touring central Peloponnese, this museum is definitely worth a stop. I did lots of photos but share just few of them because you really need to...

Maybe the non-functional standing screen once was such a link. Anyway, if you're in the area, consider visiting - a half hour is plenty - but also keep in mind the adult ticket...
