I am not sure should I give 4 Stars or 3, at least it was 3 and hoping Management can then hear the voice.
After driving on roads (not perfectly sure if this deserves the name streets) I normally never will ride on, you reach a well-developed area with a parking area and souvenir shops. You find also a small snacks and coffee shop there. Toilets are in a maintained condition. The tickets (8 Euro adults and 4 Euro for a 14 year old) is OK. The Guides starts at defined times (we reached at 13:30 and had to wait for 15 min) so not bad at all. After going with the Guide a short way, you reach a tunnel seeing the closed door infront of you and the you enter the cave - WOWWW, speechless, amazing - an absolute MUST SEE. What the nature did here over many thousands of years is really stunning and EVERYBODY near here (we take a 2 1/2 ride one direction to come) should see this.
So if you now wonder why only 3 stars let me explain: first of all you are not allowed to take a picture, I understand, when you allow to take Pictures in a 30 Person group, this will make a lot of delay for the tour. BUT if you offer one of the amazing places in the Cave to allow here a Picture, EVERYBODY will be happy, as all like to have a Pic with their beloved on their side in this cave. So Management my first 2 cents - make a Photograph area and give them all 5 min to make the Pic.
2nd complaint I have is the Guide itself. Paying 8 Euro and then getting a DIN A4 copy sheet in English and the Guide only mention in English - read Paragraph one or three or whatever - is NOT an english guided tour. All the rest the Guide only explains in Greece language. I also see this complaint related to the Guide language more often here in Maps so obviously it occurs often. Therefore Management my 2nd 2 cents - have Guides that speaks enough english to explain the details of the Cave in English
After changing this you then should have 7 Stars...

The Alistrati Cave was a fantastic experience! Here's why you should add it to your itinerary:
Easy Breezy Tours: We didn't wait long for our tour to begin – just about 30 minutes. The tours themselves are a manageable length, lasting just over an hour. Accessibility for All: The entire cave path is paved and mostly flat, making it easy to navigate. We even saw someone pushing a stroller throughout the tour without any problems. The group size was comfortable, with around 15 people. Cool Comfort: The cave maintains a pleasant temperature year-round, which would be a welcome escape from the Summer heat. Knowledgeable Guides: Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions we had. They clearly have a passion for the cave's history and geology. Our tour was all in English. Relaxing Amenities: While you wait for your tour, you can unwind in a lovely coffee shop or designated waiting area. There are also clean, free restrooms available – definitely a recommendation before heading underground! Off the Beaten Path, But Worth It: While the location might seem a bit remote, the cave is absolutely worth the visit. It's a true hidden gem!
Overall, I highly recommend visiting the Alistrati Cave. It's a fascinating and beautiful natural wonder, with knowledgeable guides and a comfortable...
Read moreCave was great, bigger than the Aggitis/mara cave.. Unfortunately the person who took us inside (guide) was rude.. group was from mixed nationalities and the tour was in English but the woman "why do you ask the same question twice I have already answered this" that's not a way to talk to people for the job you are there to do... also they have zero book material to buy about the cave, some photographs from the inside (Internet is full of pictures from inside the cave but they don't let visitors take pictures) or some educational material how stalactites grow etc.. nothing.I was ready to spend 20-30 euros to buy a book like that....Just a small leaflet 2 pages that they want 1.5 for, something that Aggitis cave gives for free.. seriously.. I haven't been in caves in other countries so I don't know, but everywhere you go you know you are in greece because you can see how amateurs the people who are responsible for those things...
