The klifki's springs is a place of rare and unique beauty! it is located at the middle of the Arachthos' river canyon. You can admire a series of waterfalls that vary from small ones to a very big one that is 47m high. The water comes out from a natural formed water tank that collects the water from the canyon and the cave. The waterfalls bring the water to the Arachthos river. There is a view spot on the way down to the river, where you can sit and relax having an amazing view to the river and the canyon. To get to the klifki's springs you have to start from Kalentzi's square and take the road to the east, it is a flat and easy pathway that brings you at the beggining of the path to the springs. The path will take you down to the waterfalls, an old watermill and the...

A beautiful place to stay and explore for a couple of hours. Way in through the village of Kalenzi walking on a broad road, which after the parking space winds down to the falls. The famous Klifkis waterfall itself is dry (because of too little snow last winter?) but there are more waterfalls to see. The mill is home to bats. Going back up is doable but a bit steep. Halfway there's a viewpoint with a tap of cold water. On the way back, a path to the left leads to ancient Ekali / Kastri. It's classified as a fort but no details are to be found what it's purpose truly was. Amazing cyclopian...

Where to start... First of all, I would not recommend taking the car all the way down there. Rocks keep falling and it is not safe. You will need to walk a 30 min walk down and then up. The inclination is challenging. Park where the main signs are. Proper athletic shoes are recommended and maybe waterproof clothing if you would like to get close to the water and waterfalls. When we arrived the first waterfall had no water. Nevertheless, we did not regret going as the landscape is fantastic with water coming out of rocks. There are a few more waterfalls in the area....

Super nice place. It's a bit hard to find, but after 10 minutes or so of driving on dirt road, you will arrive at a small parking space near the start of the trail. It is about 1 kilometer of stip down hill trail, but the view is worth it. Then, if you continue with the trail and the signs, you will get to the river, and from there, you can continue walking for about 2 minutes to a beautiful waterfall. The way up could take between 20 - 40 minutes, depending on the stops you are making along the way.
