An elegant wine experience in Kokkinochori where tradition meets innovation!

The Biblia Chora Winery in Kokkinochori is a true gem, jointly run by Evangelos Gerovassiliou and Vasilis Tsaktsarlis. Nestled beautifully in the hills, it is easy to reach by car and offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape.
The vast vineyards convey a sense of grandeur and elegance. Here numerous grape varieties are cultivated forming the foundation of the estate’s exceptional wines.
Our tour was led by Artemis, who guided us with warmth and expertise through the vineyards, the harvest, and the production process.
The wine tasting took place in the cellar, where we were able to try two white wines one rosé and two red. Each wine was a delight in its own way, my personal favorite was and is the Ovilos White, a truly outstanding wine with an unmistakable character.
The Biblia Chora Winery combines tradition and innovation at the highest level. For any wine lover visiting the Kavala region, this is an absolute must!

Επισκεφτήκαμε το Κτήμα Βιβλία Χώρα , χωρίς να έχουμε προγραμματίσει ραντεβού. Παρ’ όλα αυτά, το προσωπικό μας υποδέχτηκε με ευγένεια και προθυμία.
Η ξενάγηση στους χώρους του κτήματος ήταν εξαιρετική, παρότι έγινε στα αγγλικά. Η ξεναγός ήταν κατατοπιστική , ευγενική και πρόθυμη να απαντήσει σε κάθε μας απορία, παρουσιάζοντας με πάθος τη διαδικασία παραγωγής των κρασιών και τη φιλοσοφία του κτήματος.
Ακολούθησε γευσιγνωσία, την οποία απολαύσαμε πραγματικά. Τα κρασιά ήταν εξαιρετικής ποιότητας και ξεχώρισαν για το χαρακτήρα και την ισορροπία τους.

Today, my wife and I visited Biblia Chora Winery without having scheduled an appointment. Despite that, we were warmly welcomed by the staff, which we truly appreciated.
We were given an excellent guided tour (in English), during which the guide was knowledgeable, engaging, and happy to answer all of our questions. It was a fascinating insight into the winemaking process and the philosophy behind the winery.
After the tour, we enjoyed a wine tasting that exceeded our expectations. The wines were of outstanding quality — well-balanced, expressive, and full of character.

We left completely satisfied and, of course, didn’t miss the chance to purchase some of our favorite wines from their collection.
