We visited this beach by recommendation from friends. Main reason we went was the famous clay stone that can be found there. When you get to the water you want to go LEFT along the shore line and then pass a high rock wall. Be careful (especially with kids) with that part, when we were on our way back, 2-3 really high and strong waves came out of nowhere that pulled one of us of his legs and I myself had some bloody spots on my foot, that were caused by stones, that came with the wave!!!
Anyways... once you get to the clay wall part of the beach, the fun really begins. We found some old spoons that people obviously used to scratch clay of the wall, but soon figured out, that, if you go a little further, there's powder like clay on the incline, that goes up the rocks. Bring an empty water bottle, so you can put in the clay, add water, shake well, and e voila, you have your squishy clay mud which you can perfectly rub on your body!
It was a really fun experience, which I can recommend to everyone, especially with kids - just be aware of that rock face, which you have to pass going and coming. If a wave catches you by surprise, you may end up smashed onto...
Read moreWe didn’t like this beach at all. It was very crowded which limited beach space for you to leave your things, and on top of that, the waves can get pretty strong, meaning that at some point you’ll be swimming and have to rush back to the sand to make sure your stuff is not being taken away by the water. This fact pushed everyone even closer together making it a not so great experience. It was fairly common to see people build “sand forts” around their stuff so that the waves wouldn’t come and get it all. Water wasn’t as clear as multiple locations we’ve visited in the island leaving us a little disappointed. Would not recommend visiting this beach. Did not try mudding ourselves but seemed to be fairly common...
Read moreA very very windy beach and not sheltered like some reviews state but also very fun with some large waves coming in. Nice soft sand easy to walk across, quiet as it's down a fairly rocky road which is doable any small car if taken carefully but of course the main attraction is the natural clay on the rocks. Bring a spare water bottle to help the clay spread around and then cover yourself in it and leave for 20-30 minutes to feel extremely soft afterwards.
No facilities at this beach so it's a case of bring all your own stuff umbrellas, chairs and definitely lots of water as there are not many shaded spaces except a few by the rocks where you'll need to leave your things to avoid the waves...
