Monastiri beach — Attraction in Paros Municipality

If I could give zero stars, I would. We arrived without a reservation and were told there was a waiting list for sunbeds. Fair enough - we signed up and were assured that by 1:00 PM they would find us a spot.

1:00 came and went… nothing. At 1:30 PM, only one person from the entire waiting list got a sunbed. The rest of us, including our group, were told to “keep waiting” in their lounge area with no timeline or guarantee.

It’s obvious what they’re doing - they lie so you’ll sit there, order drinks, and spend money in the lounge while they already know they will never find you a spot. If they were honest from the beginning, there would have been no issue, but instead they choose to waste your time and your day.

The staff act as if this is the premium beach club in Paros, but in reality, it’s the most poorly run place we’ve ever been to - anywhere. They have zero organisational skills, no respect for their customers, and rely on tricking people instead of delivering good service.

Save yourself the frustration and go literally anywhere else on the island. Paros has plenty of amazing, well-managed beach clubs - this one is...

The beach itself was crowded and when we were taken to our reserved sunbeds, we made a reservation for 3 mind you, we got two beds and a beanbag. Yup, and when I told the man working there that it wasn’t going to work he said we don’t do sunbeds for three. (HUH??) Why take the reservation then? Why operate as a business? do you not want to make money??? When I pressed a little further about moving one of the other sunbeds literally 2ft over he was rude and said no. As we were packing up another member of the incompetent staff walked up to us and when we told him we were leaving he kinda just laughed at us?! I told him we were unhappy with the sunbeds and that we made a reservation for 3 but got stuck with a limp beanbag shoved behind an umbrella and a table. bro just shrugged and was like oh well, so I said you should change that, just some constructive criticism! He goes “i don’t make the rules i just work here!” tell your employer then dimwit or I guess i just did for you. Don’t come here unless you want to have a bad and overpriced time surrounded by a loud bar, obnoxious kids,...

Because of our hotel proximity we visited the beach on our first day to Paros. Very very bad decision… The beach where the sunbeds are located there are patches of standstill smelly and dirty (rust coloured) water, the service is extremely bad and slow i.e. ordered 1 large bottle of water, 1 cold coffee and 1 beer and all 3 of them came separately with 10 minutes gap and when asking the runners / delivery boys why is that the answer was always I don’t know this is what they gave me to bring. Even if you ask them to check they would never come back updating you. We decided to visit the restaurant for lunch and the contosouvli which I ordered was 80% pure fat. When raised the issue with the serving waiter he recognised the problem and agreed that what they have served was of bad quality but he didn’t offered to either replace it or waive it from the final bill… We have visited many other beaches in Paros like Crios, Faragas, SeaRocks, BlueOyster, Soros at Antiparos and for sure Monastiri was by far the worst...
