Great place for snorkeling in the area. It is also a fun and easy adventure if you are staying in the area. I'm not sure I would drive more than, say, 30 minutes to get here but once here it's unique.
As others have said, it is not a beach at all but a boat launch and sort of rocky area. There are plenty of places to sit or put your things but it's not a place most would lay in the sun for hours.
We visited for about 2 hours and that was enough to snorkel, get some sun and poke around the area a bit.
Check surf conditions at a nearby beach area (Georgiopoli for example) before coming here. If there are really any waves of note, then you can't safely swim here. Also this is not a good place for small children - I would say 8 years and up are...
