1 hour drive from Argostoli, this beach is famous for being in the movie “Capitain Corelli’s Mandolin”. The view of this beach from above, and its colors in the morning, were amazing - and it was not crowded. Parking: no parking, you just place your car on the side of the really narrow road. The last 7km are in a quite narrow and steep road, be careful. 😢 Type of beach: pebble/rocks, not organized, no toilet or bar. Small and not crowded. It’s better if you have something soft to place under your beach towel, the rocks here are quite pointed. 🙂 Shadow: the olive trees provide shadow all day. Read moreThe beach is wild and isolated. There are yachts coming near the gulf for dives and swimming near the shores. The place is quiet most of the times. There is no sand, only pebble. Watch out the way down when driving, not enough space to turn the car, especially if there are already 2 other cars stopped. The road down is paved but tight, one corner in particular requires a three point turn and could be a bit scary in a big vehicle but any confident driver will be fine.
