1 hour drive from Argostoli, this beach is famous for being in the movie “Capitain Corelli’s Mandolin”. The view of this beach from above, and its colors in the morning, were amazing - and it was not crowded. Parking: no parking, you just place your car on the side of the really narrow road. The last 7km are in a quite narrow and steep road, be careful. 😢 Type of beach: pebble/rocks, not organized, no toilet or bar. Small and not crowded. It’s better if you have something soft to place under your beach towel, the rocks here are quite pointed. 🙂 Shadow: the olive trees provide shadow all day. When we went there, the beach was not crowded (10 people more or less), so we found a spot even if it was 11am. 😀 Water/Snorkeling: the water is transparent and clean, near the rocks you can do some snorkeling (nothing major). 🙂

Πανέμορφο καταπράσινο κολπάκι, με μεγάλα βότσαλα. Εύκολη πρόσβαση με αυτοκίνητο.

Very secluded beach. Rocks and pebbles so beach shoes are a must in my opinion. We arrived by boat, (rent a boat) which was lovely. There were a handful of other people on the beach who must have arrived by car. The beach is a little random, with a couple of ‘static caravan’ looking huts. Not the tidiest beach but we did sit under the olive trees to enjoy our picnic lunch. And the water is crystal clear like everywhere along the coast.

The beach is wild and isolated. There are yachts coming near the gulf for dives and swimming near the shores. The place is quiet most of the times. There is no sand, only pebble. Watch out the way down when driving, not enough space to turn the car, especially if there are already 2 other cars stopped. Either you leave the car up on the road or you will have to ask the other drivers help to make some room for you. I only recommend the beach if you have a small car, not SUV friendly as the road at the...

Stunning secluded pebble beach with excellent snorkelling. We first visited on our Yellow Hire Boat and loved it so much that we drove back twice on our stay from Agia Efimia. The road down is paved but tight, one corner in particular requires a three point turn and could be a bit scary in a big vehicle but any confident driver will be fine. There was even a camper van there one evening. Only downside is the wasps which are quite nosy. Avoid laying your towel down under the...
