Paralia Karnagio — Attraction in Volos Municipality

This is the perfect place to go for a coffee or a drink in Gialiskari. Hidden by the seaside with beautiful views the cafe/bar is accessible via a small dirt road so keep your eyes wide open! :) It is very aesthetic place both inside and outside, playing pleasant music and offering very kind service. Sit on the terrace in the evening and enjoy the refreshing sea-breeze! my all time favorite in Ikaria, very professional DJ,(various styles), perfect service. If you visit the fishermenvillage Gilaskari on Ikaria walk down to the small harbour and you will find a nice surprise !! In a romantic setting you discover the coffee / musicbar Karnagio. Besides a long list of various coffees you will find icecreams, several beers, fruitjuces,whiskeys, ouzo, tsipouro, raki and the amazing collection of music from owner / dj Babis Vagianos. Together with his wife Eleftheria ( who also runs a very nice giftshop just besides Karnagio) they have created a place where you can sit down and enjoy the daytime as well the evening with that unique view at the small harbour and little white chapel. It gives you the ultimate Greek holiday feeling !!! Karnagio coffeebar in the little village of Gialiskari on Ikaria. Down to the seafront. It is a very nice place with a beautiful view to the fishing port and the small church. Next to restaurant Symposio. Babis and Elefteria serve many kinds of coffee (the freddocino is very nice) and tea. Also different icecreams, milkshakes and fruitjuices. And offcourse beer, wine and other spirits. It is a very nice place to relax from morning till late in the evening. The view is fantastic.It is also very nice to take a look in the shop from Elefteria next to the bar. I always can find there...

The beach itself is not that big, but it is not crowded either , so it feels very relaxing. There are more than enough chairs and the staff is friendly. The sea water is really clean, see-through,and even though Volos port water was flooded and there are dead fish and green waters, here, not even 15 km away, the sea is as clean as usual. Also, if you have soft feet, don't forget the water shoes, because the beach has lots of small stones....
