An amazing little beach between Agios Ioannis and Chorefto (but closer to the latter). It's definitely worth a visit, as it is quiet and tranquil, despite the several beach bars which provide sunbeds yet respect the beach and leave ample empty spaces. The road leading there, however, is awful. You follow the same road that takes you to Chorefto Beach and you have to make a turn right before you get there to go to Agii saranta, but the sign is concealed and you have to make sure to check the map on your phone at all times. Plus the road is steep and narrow and can only fit one car, so there is always a problem between those arriving and those leaving, which is fortunately settled after noon by some people assigned by the local administration. Parking space is also limited if you arrive after noon so be aware you might have to leave your car and walk a while down towards the beach, which will definitely...

Here is what I wrote some years ago in my then give star review: "Best beach for camping! Shade, sand, showers, toilet, selection of food...and free."

Here is the current situation. This beach died a sudden death when some short term profit classic Greek idiots thought they could make more money by sending away the people in tents. Big mistake. They killed the vibe. Beach is still great, sea lovely, but the overall vibe? Dead.

We are not coming back again. A typical example of how Greeks kill their tourism.

Don't get me wrong this is a great beach and great fun when the waves are big. It is also well organized and so long that you can pretty much find whatever style you want. Just not camping anymore...

Beach and waters are very clean and beautiful!! My personal tips are: park as soon you start seeing cars parked beside the road and use the path (not the road) that leads to the beach for faster approach. It's not worth getting in trouble to reach the beach by car as you will not find to park (there is a reason people park before reaching the beach) and it is difficult to get back. Many cars do the same thing, the road is narrow and this leads to traffic jam. Not wear flip-flops if you intend to use the footpath. Once you reach the beach walk it till the end where a very nice beach bar is located and the location there is...

Gret location: If there are no waves, water is cristal clear. Note that it becomes deep very quickly. Sunbeds are 10 euro (two sunbeds and their umbrella). There is parking space but it is getty full quickly. I recommended to arive before 10.00 AM to ensure you have where to park. Note that the last two-three turns are narrow and the road is very steep. The food at the nearby restaurnat is good, the restaurant is clean and its staff are friendly. Prices are a bit high but having in mind the location they are expected. I will return here again with pleasure if the opportunity arise.

I visited the beaches PapaNero, Horefto and Agii Saranta in Pilio and Agii Saranta is by far the more unique one. It has beach bars with “Monk” bar at the end of the beach - seemed really cool, but It has also lots of spots left for the ones that want to chill on their own, as I did. The view is really impressive. The parking guys are really helpful - very well organised and the parking is free. Keep in mind to get there early, around 10 am as the parking space is limited. Unless u come in the late afternoon when morning people are leaving the beach 😉
