It is a great place with great historical importance. Sarakatsaniki Stani is located almost next to the road which connects Skameli with Laista - Iliochori & Vrysochori and it is a faithful representation of Sarakatsani seasonal settlement. It covers a total area of 16 acres and it includes real size "lodgings" (thatched cabins used as houses xor workshops), the "ovoros" and "greki" (animal kennels). Depending on its use, each lodging is equipped with the corresponding objects of everyday life, from bedding to cookware, loom and cheese tools. The installation of Sarakatsaniki Stanican be visited for free throughout the year, but due to the location and nature, it is difficult to navigate it when it has snowed. Its creator and maintainer is the Brotherhood of Sarakatsanaioi of Epirus, which is operating a traditional tavern in the area, and every year organizes a nationwide meeting of the members with events and outdoor camp in early August.

Located inside a beautiful forest, Sarakatsaniki Stani is a recreation of the old local communities of Sarakatsanoi. Entrance is free. You can walk inside some of the houses and see the tools, furniture and items Sarakatsanoi used in the past. After that, you can walk around the area to get a feel of the local nature. There is also a cafe with snacks nearby.

Visiting in the winter ❄️ You must stop by and take a look! It's so special 😍 We are travelling in the mountains of Greece and this was a great surprise to see a reconstructed hamlet you can actually feel how people used to live. I suppose in the summer when the place is open and working it will have more to offer so hopefully we'll be coming back!!!!

Φοβερή εμπειρία ! Αν και η μέρα ήταν βροχερή και με έντονα καιρικά φαινόμενα την ώρα που βρεθήκαμε ήταν σκέτη απόλαυση ! Μπορεί να μη χαρήκαμε το φυσικό περιβάλλον όσο έπρεπε , ωστόσο το σκηνικό μας αποζημίωσε ! Πολύ ωραίο και το καφέ - εστιατόριο παραδοσιακο στυλ όπως αρμόζει ιδανικά στο υπέροχο τοπίο ! Ένα απόσπασμα μιας πανέμορφης εποχής με την παραδοσιακή σαρακατσάνικα στάνη και τα ήθη και έθιμα να σερβίρονται ιδανικά μπροστά σας ! Μέχρι τότε απλά μια από τις ομορφότερες διαδρομές που μπορεί να συναντήσει κανείς σε ένα υπέροχο φυσικό πάρθενο δάσος επιβλητικό με κανονικό άσφαλτο στο δρόμο εύκολη πρόσβαση μόλις 30 λεπτά από το τσεπελοβο που απλά επιβάλλεται να επισκεφτείς !

Πολύ ωραίος χώρος με υπαίθριο μουσείο για την ανάδειξη του νομαδικού τρόπου ζωής των Σαρακατσάνων. Ο δρόμος που οδηγεί στον Γυφτόκαμπο που βρίσκεται μετά το χωριό Σκαμνέλι, είναι εξαιρετικός, μέσα στα δέντρα με ομαλή άσφαλτο, πραγματικά απόλαυση. Ιδανικά θα έπρεπε σε καθε σήμανση (π.χ. Μπατζαριο, Στάνη κλπ να υπάρχουν επιπλέον πληροφορίες για τον τρόπο ζωής και εκμετάλλευσης του εκάστοτε χώρου). Είναι πολύ όμορφο το δάσος που απλώνεται στο χώρο και ακόμα καλύτερο το μαγαζί που βρίσκεται εκεί. Πολύ καλό το φαγητό, οι τιμές λογικές και το προσωπικό που μας υποδέχθηκε άκρως φιλόξενο, ευγενικό και εξαιρετικό. Η επίσκεψη συνίσταται σίγουρα.

Είναι φορές που θα ήθελα να υπάρχει κι ένα έκτο αστέρι για κάτι εξαιρετικό...η Στάνη είναι τέτοια περίπτωση... δεν είναι μόνο ότι νιώθεις ότι βρίσκεσαι σε "όαση",(κυριολεκτικά στη μέση του πουθενά), είναι ότι έχεις τα πάντα... πραγματικά υπέροχο περιβάλλον, ενδιαφέρον λαογραφικό, χώρο για να περπατήσεις και να αναπνεύσεις, για να παίξουν τα παιδιά... κι επιπλέον ένα πολύ ζεστό χώρο που τον τρέχει μια γλυκύτατη οικογένεια με υπέροχο φαγητό...το αγριογούρουνο με γλυκοπατάτες και κάστανα είναι το καλύτερο που έχω φάει ποτέ... τίποτα δεν υστερούσε...πίτες, μαγειρευτά, ψητά... και σε προσιτές τιμές... μην πάτε χωρίς κράτηση...
