​The Roman Aqueduct of Ancient Nikopolis is a breathtakingly beautiful archaeological relic that will leave you speechless. It was built during the Roman period (2nd cent. A.D.) as part of a water supply project for the ancient city of Nikopolis (near Preveza). The Aqueduct that covered a distance of 50km is considered as one of the most important structures of the Roman period in northwestern Greece. This is one of the most amazing places I have ever seen. It is a hidden gem on the road heading south. I took my shoes off and walked the river. The water was very cool and beautiful to see. The area is not developed for tourism which makes it even better. You get a bit of time alone with history. It refreshed us in a very hot day. Can't wait to go back. ...

Εντυπωσιακό, Επιβλητικό, Μεγαλειώδης Κατασκευή. Πανέμορφο μέσα στο πράσινο, με το ποτάμι να ρέει απο κατω του. Φυσικά ομως κ αυτό παρατημένο οπως πολλά αρχαία μνημεία. Προφανώς άλλα πράγματα εχουν μεγαλύτερη σημασία .... Εύκολα προσβάσιμο, κοντά στο δρόμο κ αξίζει να σταματησετε για να το δειτε, καθως κ να μπειτε λιγο στο ποτάμι να περπατησετε.
