Nuuk Katuaq - Cultural Center — Attraction in Sermersooq

We were really excited to check this place out. There was a sign at the entrance asking for a one hundred Danish kroner fee, so we went to pay it. The attendant kindly let us know that there was nothing on display until later that day, so there was no charge. That was a nice surprise and a thoughtful gesture.

Since we were already there, we decided to eat at the cafe. The food was genuinely good, and the portions were generous. I had the seafood salad along with a mango shake. They were able to make the salad without pesto, which I appreciated. It is always nice when places are flexible with dietary preferences.

The space also had a few unexpected extras. There were clean and free toilets available for paying guests, along with free internet access, which made the visit even more comfortable. We noticed a small local cinema inside with a surprisingly good lineup of movies playing this month. It added a fun and unexpected touch to the experience.

A place with café, cinema and a congress hall that hosts a lot of different events. I visited the Center, because there was a dance performance happening on the evening of my visit in Nuuk, and also because I felt like going to a cinema. That one is accessible from behind the reception. You can also buy popcorn or other snacks for the screening time in a small shop close to the cinema's entrance. total waste of money. 15 USD to see maybe 20 pieces of small art in a huge building and to use the bathroom. and if we pay that much whats up with giving a measly 2 hours of wifi.
