Cenotes de Candelaria — Attraction in Huehuetenango

Although the area is truly beautiful, it’s the most expensive attraction in Guatemala that we’ve experienced. We read in another review that it would be cheaper to go on foot (10Q) but when asked to the toll guy, he simply told us that it would be the same price as entering with the vehicle (100Q). Otra de las maravillas de Huehuetenango, a pesar de las casi 9 horas de recorrido, puedo decir sin duda alguna que merece la pena el viaje. El Cenote más grande es imponente y a la vez muy bello, de aguas cristalinas, se puede disfrutar de la tranquilidad o si se desea adrenalina se puede saltar desde una de las peñas a casi 8 o 9 metros de altura. Luego está el segundo Cenote, a sólo unos minutos en vehículo o a pie, el "pequeno" con aguas color turquesa y menos profundo que el primero, ofrece excelentes condiciones para snorkeling y también para saltar al agua desde menos altura que en el grande. El área de acampar está bien acondicionada, hay dos áreas techadas en caso no se cuente con carpas de 4 estaciones, área para fogata y sanitarios, vale la pena mencionar que había buena limpieza en todas las áreas. Lo recomiendo, tanto para aquellos que buscan relajarse como para los amantes de la aventura, es sólo uno de muchos tesoros que ofrece...

Beautiful and worth the trip from Antigua. Be sure once you get close to the town and start seeing arrows-FOLLOW THE ARROWS! Not waze or goggle maps. This will get you lost lol. The cenotes are more beautiful...
