Shad has really created something special in Atitlan Organics—and he’d be the first to say it’s all much bigger than him, and of course it is, but it’s his vision and drive that have brought it all to life. I did a 2-week PDC course with Atitlan Organics and feel so so lucky to have had the chance to do so. I learned a ton, and it gave me real tools and knowledge to build a foundation from which to keep learning (which I’d say is what a great PDC course should do). Plus I met and connected with some incredible people—both locals of Lago Atitlan, Tzununa, and the surrounding areas, along with people from all over the world. Atitlan Organic is a beautiful farm in Tzununa, super peaceful and very interesting! me and my partner spent two weeks volunteering and attending the one week long permaculture course and that was one on the best thing I've done traveling so far ! Shad, the facilitator, is super knowledgeable and very accessible. We learned a lot of things like how to plant seeds, milk goats, make compost etc.. and about permaculture in general.
