This is a must do sunrise hike if you are traveling to towns such as San Pedro on Lake Atitlan. The price from the local tour operators is 100Q, however we met a local who took us up for a bit cheaper (we tipped the difference and some - so it's worth it!) The cost includes transportation, the guide and coffee/snacks up the top. There are two climbs - the main one people do is 20min uphill, which leads to 2 viewing platforms. A lot of people mention robberies / bandits on this walk - so it probably is best to take a guide - however we didn't experience this. The wake up time of 330am puts people off but your back in time for a fresh hot chocolate croissant at Idea Connection!

It‘s a private land. I‘ve read before that you have to pay. I hiked up and met a man. He asked me politely to pay him 25 quetzal. He was nice and friendly, though. The view is amazing, even more when birds flying around.
