My family stopped in to visit the Lavender fields while on vacation in Guatemala and on our way back from Lake Atitlan to Antigua. Our daughter loves lavender, and we were intrigued by this being the largest lavender fields in Central America and Guatemala. The owners were responsive to my questions by WhatsApp, and they opened the gate to the property quickly on our arrival. We were greeted by the owner/husband who took time to walk us through the field and educate us on the different type of lavender, climate, and harvesting. After the walk through the scenic fields overlooking Lake Atitlan, we received a refreshing sparkling water with rosemary from the owner/wife, an explanation of the products they produce from their lavender and rosemary plants, how they extract the oil and scent, and finally enjoyed a lavender tea and homemade banana bread on their deck.
