Fantastic but very bracing February walk in a Force 8 wind. Not for the faint-hearted, but enjoyable if you like that sort of thing. Very quiet and peaceful route with no vehicular access. Great for dog walking. Take a flask in the car in winter, to reward yourself when you get back to the car park (15 minute walk), as the café is not always open out of season. Stunning views and location, well worth the walk Excellent location for picking Sloe berries at...

The only access is by walking. Local folklore says if you walk around the 'Fairy Ring' three times and make a wish it will come true. History of the ‘ring’ dates from the 1700's when the circular area was created as a meeting place for statesmen. From here you can continue your walk to the ruins of the haunted house Victor Hugo wrote about in Toilers of the Sea. Great place for photos...

A lovely quiet area to explore. Lots of historic interest with useful information boards along the way. The main route is a disused road so perfect walking or cycling surface, but there are numerous paths leading both down to the shore and high onto the cliff paths, all offer stunning views of the rugged coastline. There are numerous benches to rest weary legs or just to sit and...
