I recently stayed at the Palm Camayenne Hotel in Conakry, and my experience was a mix of positives and negatives. While certain aspects of the stay stood out, there were some areas that could use significant improvement, especially for a hotel that claims to be five-star.

What I Liked: • Rooms: The rooms were quite comfortable and well-kept. They provided a good space to relax, and I had no complaints about their condition. • Room Service: This was definitely a highlight of my stay. I ordered room service twice, and the quality of the food was consistently excellent—truly top-notch and faultless. • ATM on Site: Having an ATM within the hotel was a major convenience, especially for travelers unfamiliar with the area. • Airport Pickup: The taxi service from the airport to the hotel was seamless. It was well-organized and made my arrival stress-free.

What Could Be Better: • Noise Levels: My first night at the hotel was frustrating due to loud music that went on until midnight, making it difficult to sleep. For a hotel of this standard, soundproofing or policies to limit noise would be expected. • Pool Atmosphere: The pool area was crowded and lacked the exclusivity you might expect from a premium hotel. Adding to this was the presence of outside guests and smokers around the pool, which made it less enjoyable for hotel guests. • Dining Options: On one occasion, the restaurant only offered a buffet, which was disappointing as we had been looking forward to ordering off the menu. • Taxi Assistance: While the airport pickup was excellent, the hotel was unhelpful in arranging fair-priced taxi services for local trips. The driver we used charged exorbitant rates for short distances, and the hotel staff didn’t assist in finding a better alternative. This was frustrating and felt like a missed opportunity for better customer care.

Final Thoughts:

The Palm Camayenne Hotel offers some strong positives—comfortable rooms, outstanding room service, and a well-located facility with helpful amenities like an ATM. However, there are areas that need improvement, such as managing noise levels, creating a better pool experience, and providing more support with local transport.

While it doesn’t meet the five-star standards you’d find in other countries, it does seem to be one of the better options in Conakry. Given the limited alternatives, I would consider staying here again, though with tempered...

Bonjour,

I live near by Hotel Palm Camayenne and booked a room for a night for a nice rest. But the attitude of the staffs at the reception was very arrogant and unwelcoming which I don’t understand. They didn’t check my reservation thoroughly and there was no apology for their mistake. No basic instructions or introduction of the hotel. Had to ask for wifi password through phone and the staff at the reception hung up the phone first even though I was still talking to the person. Ridiculous service. Worst hotel service experience ever in my life at a five star hotel. Are the receptionist racists or something? While the service is poor, the room condition and view itself are good. The cleaning staffs were also nice. It was just the reception that handled everything very poorly… Came to have a good, full rest for myself and it kinda...

Palm Camayenne is a 10/10 in terms of service, ambience, staff, facilities, food, relaxation.. you name it. The staff were absolutely jovial, helpful and respectful. The serenity of the hotel is top notch. There was abundant varieties of food and you can easily make your choices in line with your taste. The sit out by the seaside was spiffing. The environment came alive at night, with the inflow of the locals dressed in their local attires. The rooms were clean and the facilities were in excellent shape. The rooms were cleaned daily before 10am and you have a constant supply of toiletries and beverages. I would readily recommend Palm Camayenne to anyone visiting Conakry.

Window view part of this hotel was very nice. They also have nice deck for evening parties. Hotel is very old infrastructure and rated 5 star but not maintained like 5 Star. Even entrance round Glass was having cracks. In Night times, this place became happening with music, Hukka and local crowds. Swimming pool was not operational. In Buffet menu's, Everything mentioned in French and not having dishes names in English. Staff at hotel including Restaurant is not doing any hurry. For any room service calls, action taken in 15 minutes even.
