Tela Marine — Attraction in Atlántida

The place is still under construction and growing in some areas, but it is a nice stop if you are visiting Tela. The current aquarium is small but quite pretty and the guide gives a very interesting speech about the mission of Telamarine. The restaurante part is nicely decorated and they offer good food and drinks, so def recommended to spend the afternoon. My only wish is the for the souvenir store they collaborated more with local artists to create marine conservation products. Most products are good for kids but it kinda doesn't match the place...

Tela Marine is an incredible project, and completely unprecedented in all of Honduras. It aims to be an aquarium that is 100% free to the people. Good place to visit for a bit. They do make you wait to see the small aquarium but the guard and the first staff are very rude and demanding. They treat you like an idiot.
